When you visit Trudy's Bed & Breakfast in charming downtown Westphalia, you will be socializing--and sleeping--within the walls of one of Mid-Missouri's most famous saloons. This is the place where proprietor Joe served ice cold beer and summer sausage sandwiches for 40 years, 7 days a week, where Cardinal great Stan Musial shot pool, where famous and infamous patrons rubbed elbows. Now the Joe's saloon has a new role, the bar fixtures have given way to spacious meeting rooms and cozy beds. The old brick building can accommodate groups bothh large and small. Trudy's Bed and Breakfast lies within the shadow of the town's centerpiece, its 1848 stone Catholic Church. And within walking distance of Trudy's are two restaurants, a musuem, an 1800's cemetery--and an old one-room, two-celled jail. Come. Stay. And bring your camera.
