From mighty rivers to well-known lakes, Missouri is “Where the Rivers Run.” BBIM member inns dot the towns along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Inns are also concentrated near Missouri’s famous Lake of the Ozarks, Taneycomo and Table Rock lakes. Other B&Bs are near recreational lakes, such as Truman, Smithville, Long Branch, Thomas Hill, Mark Twain, Clearwater, Little Dixie and Stockton. Other inns overlook scenic rivers such as the Gasconade, White and Osage. Missouri is also home to natural springs and scenic float trips; among the floating streams the Meramec, Huzzah, Black and Niangua have nearby inns.
